Applicants sought for 15/16 "Music for a Cause"

The South Carolina Philharmonic is seeking applicants who wish to be potential partners in its “Music for a Cause” program during the 2015/2016 season.

Begun in 2010, “Music for a Cause” partners the S.C. Phil with a diverse, non-arts group of fellow non-profit 501(c)3 organizations from Richland and Lexington counties. The program enables six partners to raise money and awareness for their causes among potential supporters who might not be familiar with their programs.

Partners are recognized in publicity and advertising for their assigned concert, are offered a display table in the lobby and given the opportunity to insert information into that concert’s program book without charge. They are also able to sell tickets as a fundraiser, keeping 75% of the proceeds for their organization.

Interested applicants may review 2015/2016 concert dates and download an application here. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 10, 2015.

The six partners for the current, 2014/2015 season are: Canine Angels, Epworth Childrens Home, Harvest Hope as part of the annual Orchestras Feeding America food drive, Killingsworth Home, Palmetto Health Foundation, and Senior Resources Inc.
