The building of the Koger Center for the Arts in Columbia in 1988 marked an important step in the South Carolina Philharmonic's development, giving the Philharmonic a home with excellent facilities and acoustics and a seating capacity keeping with the size of the community.
The Ira & Nancy Koger Center for the Arts demonstrates the cooperative spirit present in South Carolina. Its construction is the product of a shared dream and a shared labor of love for many in the community; a combined effort, with both public and private entities contributing to make this dream a reality. For more information about the Koger Center, please visit their website at KogerCenterForTheArts.com.
